About

The operating partner for everything else.

22+ years. 13 companies. One conviction: businesses scale when experienced operators are in the room.

Why PILTA exists

The name came last.

For 22+ years I have been the person companies call when growth outruns the machine.

I helped launch Scion for Toyota, 170,000 cars a year at its peak. I took Pinpoint from $1M in revenue to $10M+. I joined Medelita as employee 8 and built it from under $1M to $30M+ and a private equity exit. Inside Mars, I scaled Wisdom Panel from $17M to $50M in 24 months while merging it with Whistle and Kinship. At Tivic I was employee 5, built FDA-regulated operations from a blank page, and took the company from under $1M to a NASDAQ IPO in 9 months.

The scoreboard along the way: a NASDAQ IPO carried over the line, 5 mergers and acquisitions worked from the inside, buy-side diligence led, a $200M+ P&L, and $100M+ in revenue growth across the companies I served.

Different industries, same seat: beside CEOs, founders, teams, and investors, turning a strategy into a plan and a plan into a running operation.

Somewhere along the way the realization landed. What kept deciding the outcome was whether the right expertise was in the room at the right moment, at the right weight. Sometimes that is a project. Sometimes a fractional executive. Sometimes an embedded team working shoulder to shoulder with yours, for as long as the plan demands. That flexibility is not a staffing tactic. It is the future of how companies get built.

PILTA is that future, given a name. My career was the prototype. This is the product.

The modular workforce

Work is being rebuilt. On purpose.

13 companies. 8 industries. 8 CEO and founder partnerships. $100M+ in revenue growth. A NASDAQ IPO, 5 mergers and acquisitions, a $200M+ P&L. Teams from 15 to 200.

Across all of it, one pattern kept repeating. The companies that grew fastest were not the ones with the biggest headcount. They were the ones that got the right expertise into the room at the right moment. And the sharpest people I worked with did their best work when they were pointed at the problems that actually needed them.

That is the modular workforce, said plainly. Companies get senior experts exactly when, and at whatever weight, they need: five hours a week, forty, or anything between. No year-long search, no full-time overhead, no compromise on seniority. Professionals get careers built on their highest-value work: several clients instead of a single employer, autonomy over their time, and room for a life designed on purpose.

This is not a prediction. Law firms run on of counsel. Hospitals run on visiting physicians. Agencies serve ten brands at once, and nobody blinks. Knowledge process outsourcing, KPO, brings that same model to operations, finance, and leadership, and it is one of the fastest-growing corners of professional work for a reason: companies grow faster, people work better, and everyone gets more life back.

I built PILTA to be that model at its best.

The formal name

A KPO, in a suit.

Time for a term you are going to hear a lot more: KPO, knowledge process outsourcing.

You already know BPO, business process outsourcing: the call centers and back offices that run routine work at scale. KPO is its ambitious older sibling. Instead of outsourcing tasks, you plug in judgment: analysts, strategists, engineers, executives. People paid to think, not just process.

It is a quiet giant, a global market measured in the tens of billions of dollars and growing every year, because the math is irresistible: elite expertise, bought precisely, without the drag of a full-time hire.

PILTA is a KPO built for product companies, wearing an operator’s boots. Pre-vetted senior operators, embedded in your team, thinking and executing as your team. Formally, we sit in the KPO category. Practically, we are the modular workforce: expertise on tap, exactly when and how much you need.

Analysts call it KPO. Our clients call it relief.

How we think.

On selling.

Trust is the only sales tool we use. We give advice away, we do not chase, and we let the work make the argument.

On operators.

Operating experience beats theory. The people we embed have run the function, owned the number, and lived with the consequences.

On staying.

We scale with the plan, from five hours a week to forty. The engagement is shaped to the business, never the other way around.
